Royal Ascot Week 2010

For the 9th year in a row we are running premium trips to the prestigious Royal Ascot Horse Racing week, one of the most famous 5-day horse racing meets in the world.

The Royal Ascot Meet is well known for Ascot Ladies' Day - which is renowned for ladies' hats and heels - a real spectacle to behold every year. Ladies' Day is also the day of the Gold Cup, one of the most well known races in the UK, first run at Ascot in 1844, the prize for which is still awarded by HRH the Queen.

To enjoy a fantastic day at the races with us, you can either organise a group (40 +) and choose which day you come, or come alone or with a few friends to join our open coach trip on Royal Ascot Ladies' Day or the Ascot Saturday Finale.

Our quality package is second to none, and includes:

• premium coach parking - just 2 minutes walk from the Silver Ring (most companies use CP10 15 minutes walk away)
• plenty of bubbly and nibbles on arrival, sheltered from the sun under our marquees
• delicious buffet lunch of cold meats and salmon, stuffed peppers and a selection of salads including roast pepper, chickpea and aubergine, ginger and broccoli, green salad and new potatoes with mint, followed by strawberries and cream.
• Lots of red, white and rose wine to drink with your lunch.
• Entry to the Silver Ring.

THE ITINERARY

Coaches will depart at 10am from Hammersmith (opposite the Tube Station). We arrive at Royal Ascot racecourse mid-morning where we'll open the bottles of bubbly and enjoy the festivities.

Whilst sipping your bubbly you can study the Racing Post and other racing form guides and decide who to back whilst we set up your delicious buffet lunch, accompanied by plenty of red or white wine and soft drinks which you can enjoy before making your way into the course for the day's racing.

The last race is at 5:30pm after which we ask you to return to the coaches promptly so that we can depart at 6pm for the journey back to London - arriving back around 7:30pm.

THE SILVER RING

Your package includes entrance to the redeveloped Royal Ascot Silver Ring enclosure. This provides a great location from which to watch the racing action and has a good view of the home straight. You can get right up to the rail to watch the horses close up, or enjoy the enclosure's atmosphere and facilities.

The Silver Ring also includes seating with good views of the track and large TV screens as well as live music, plenty of Tote bookies, a large choice of bars and food stalls, and toilets.

There is no enforceable dress code for the Silver Ring, but nearly everyone dresses up and it is traditional that ladies wear their summer dresses with hats whilst men would normally wear a suit or blazer.

The race programme throughout the Royal Ascot festival is fantastic with the main race being the Gold Cup on Ladies' Day. However, it's not just about the racing – it’s also a place to “see and be seen”, watch the Queen and Royal family drive down the straight mile and generally enjoy a great party atmosphere.
