For this August Bank Holiday - Are you a Walk Weekender?
Our convenient 4 days long weekend packages are ideal for an August get away. Use your holiday wisely to squeeze in 4 days away with just 1 day off work! Leave the UK on Thursday evening and return on Monday evening after four days of great walking and active relaxation in the French Alps.

The weather is warm and sunny (typically 20 - 25 degrees) and perfect walking weather as well as being great to relax, sunbathe and swim in the outdoor swimming pools or indeed the crystal clear Lake Annecy.
During your Bank Holiday Weekend you will experience outstanding views, fantastic walking and great hospitality and food at our Aravis Lodge. We have explored the area extensively, know the best walks and are more than happy to sit down with you to design a program best suited to your needs while you are on holiday with us.

The Bank Holiday weekend follows the same format as our regular Walk Weekender packages and is priced at the same great value of £255pp.
There are walks for everyone, from gentle strolls through woods, pastureland and tiny alpine hamlets, to more physically demanding ventures up into the rocky reaches of the Aravis Mountains where you will be rewarded with spectacular views and the freshest of air! There is also many a mountain cafe handy, for a well-deserved drink and a chance to soak up the surroundings and views.

THE ITINERARY

Thursday 27th August 2009
2000 Arrival at Geneva airport
2100 Return to the Aravis Lodge for a late supper and orientation

Friday, Saturday, Sunday
0800 Breakfast and a plan for the day
0900 Depart for days’ walking with Karibuni walking hosts - drop offs and pick ups as required
1600 Afternoon tea and fresh cakes
2000 Dinner served with complimentary wine

Monday 31st August 2009
0800 Breakfast and your choice walk for the morning·
0900 Drop offs and pick ups as required
1300 Return to the Lodge for a late lunch and showers
1600 Depart for the airport in time for a late flight home

Your Bank Holiday weekend begins with an evening flight to Geneva. Within an hour you'll be enjoying a late supper at the Aravis Lodge. Every day starts with a hearty breakfast and a discussion with the Karibuni team as to your route. You will have at least two days of guided walks leaving you two days of independent hiking. Explore the Aravis Mountains and take in the stunning range of scenery on offer in this beautiful part of the French Alps. The dedicated Karibuni support team are available throughout the weekend to offer guidance, advice and support in all aspects of your adventures.

At the end of each day we will pick you up and bring you back to the Aravis Lodge where you can relax on our sun terrace and watch the sun go down whilst chatting with friends before enjoying a delicious 3 course dinner with wine. Monday provides a half day walking, allowing plenty of time to shower and pack before your transfer back to Geneva to catch your flight.
